Manufacturing Execution System

Blaze has built from ground up its own MES (Manufacturing Execution System) that is implemented in its EMS facilities. Unlike traditional off the shelf MES used by most EMS companies, Blaze’s MES is specifically tailored to the IoT devices and equipment production at scale.

The MES acts as a bridge between the ERP systems and the production floor, providing real time data and insights to optimize the manufacturing process for the best yield, best quality, longer machine life and ultimately lower cost of manufacturing.

The data is collected from multiple sources, such as sensors, machinery and the operators so as to have a 360 degree view of the shop floor to ensure that Performance, Quality and Availability KPIs are strictly achieved.

Given that the operating life of most IoT devices is much longer than traditional consumer electronics devices or appliances, Traceability in the event of defects becomes a critical aspect of IoT device manufacturing. Blaze’s MES comes with a 13 stage traceability so that any anomalies found during testing can be quickly narrowed down to their point of origin for corrective action.

Blaze’s MES covers the following stages of the production process - SMT, AOI, PTH, Flashing, Calibration, Testing, Labeling, Packaging and Palletization.
